Health Care Support Worker - Band 3 - 24hrs pwThe Minor Injury Unit is a busy nurse led urgent care setting. Main duties of the role;As a healthcare support worker on the unit you willPut patients firstWork as part of a team with Emergency Nurse PractitionersClerical dutiesBe part of quality improvementClinical learning;Wound ClosureApplying plaster castsDressingsCompleting NEWS2 and PEWS scores to identify the serious sick or injured person and follow escalation process's.Eye wash outsHealthcare support workers are the glue with in the unit, supporting both qualified nurses with patient assessment and treatment and supporting the receptionist with some clerical duties. Team worker and good communication is a key element of all staff working on the unit to always deliver the best outcome for all patients, both adults and children.
