As a Rehabilitation Instructor with Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust based at Saffron Walden Community Hospital (CB11), you will lead group rehabilitation classes and one‑to‑one sessions across the West Essex MSK service, working with conditions such as hip and knee osteoarthritis and spinal pain. The role involves holding your own caseload, re‑assessing patients, prescribing and progressing individualised exercise programmes, fitting and demonstrating aids and gym equipment, and supporting self‑management and education. You’ll work within an integrated MSK team with ready access to HCPC‑registered physiotherapists and allied health professionals for supervision and development; regular training, audit and outcome measurement are part of the role. Essential qualifications include an Exercise Instructor qualification (Premier/YMCA Level 3 or equivalent, NVQ/REPs Level 3 with anatomy/physiology), and the post requires a DBS check. This permanent, part‑time Band 4 post pays £27,485–£30,162 pro rata and comes with NHS benefits such as a generous pension, 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising with service), access to mental health and wellbeing support, staff discounts and recognition schemes.
