Band 4 Patient Pathway Navigator (Cancer MDT Team) at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, based in Watford (WD18). This full‑time, 37.5 hour post (Agenda for Change Band 4, £28,860–£31,671 inc. HCA) is a secondment role with flexible working and occasional cross‑site cover. You will lead and support weekly MDTs, track cancer referrals from referral to treatment, validate patient records daily, monitor waiting times and escalate concerns so national Cancer Waiting Time targets are met. The role involves preparing MDT meetings, covering the MDT coordinator when required, liaising with tertiary sites and clinical teams (including CNS colleagues), and recording key data. A DBS check is required and please note the Trust has stated it cannot obtain a Certificate of Sponsorship for this post.

This opportunity suits organised, accurate administrators and pathway coordinators — particularly carers and women returning to or progressing in health administration — who enjoy team working, working to deadlines and making a tangible difference to patient journeys. Essential requirements include administrative experience, GCSE‑level education or equivalent and basic IT literacy; NHS experience, Cerner/Infoflex familiarity and cancer pathway knowledge are desirable and training/support are available. West Herts is investing in digital services, staff wellbeing and development as it prepares a new hospital in Watford, so there are strong opportunities to grow your skills while contributing to high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
