Put your compassion and organisational flair to work as a Patient Coordinator at Ash Grove Medical Centre in Knottingley (WF11). In this people-facing role you’ll be the first point of contact for patients across our main site and branch surgery in Eggborough, managing appointments, reception duties, telephone and online enquiries, prescription and pathology requests, and guiding patients to the right clinical service. You’ll keep accurate records, accept specimen samples, arrange home visits and follow-ups, and liaise between patients and clinicians to ensure timely care. Confidentiality, good communication and the ability to prioritise in a busy environment are essential; healthcare experience and familiarity with systems such as SystmOne/Ardens are desirable, and the post is subject to a DBS check. Ash Grove is CQC-rated Good and cares for around 13,000 patients, offering a stable, values-driven setting for this role.
This part-time post is 21 hours per week with a set pattern (Mon 08:00–18:30 with an hour lunch, Tue 12:00–18:30 and Fri 08:00–13:00) and requires flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness – overtime will be expected at times.
