As Patient Advisor at Central Surgery, Surbiton (KT6 6EZ) you will be the welcoming first point of contact for patients across a busy GP practice. Day-to-day duties include greeting and booking patients, managing appointments and telephone enquiries on EMIS, handling emails and incoming post, scanning and filing correspondence, processing repeat prescriptions, liaising with hospitals and consultants, and providing general administrative support. This permanent, full-time role is 37.5 hours per week at £12.21 per hour, with a shift pattern arranged after interview and flexibility to cover colleagues’ sickness and annual leave. The role requires prior GP practice experience, confidence using EMIS/DOCMAN, strong communication and organisational skills, and an empathetic, calm approach; it is subject to a DBS check and UK right to work.
You will be joining Kingston GP Chambers’ Central Surgery team based in the purpose-built Surbiton Health Centre, part of a wider federation covering 20 practices across Kingston. That supportive reception and practice management team environment makes this a strong fit for carers and women seeking meaningful, stable work where interpersonal skills are valued and professional admin experience can grow.
