Be part of a compassionate team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust as a Healthcare Assistant based at Williton Community Hospital’s Meadow Ward, Stroke Recovery Centre. You’ll support registered nurses to deliver person-centred care from admission to discharge, using computerised records, and work with people recovering from stroke to maximise independence. Meadow Ward also provides End of Life care in the tranquil Grace’s Room, so sensitivity, dignity and excellent observational skills are essential. Previous stroke experience is desirable but not essential — training will be given where needed.
This permanent, full‑time role is Band 2 (salary £24,169) on the Agenda for Change pay scale and requires flexible working on an internal shift rotation covering days and nights, seven days a week including bank holidays, with enhanced pay for unsocial hours. Benefits include generous annual leave, NHS pension contributions, Blue Light Card and NHS discounts, free parking and opportunities for career progression.
