Step into a hands‑on community role as a Healthcare Support Worker with the award‑winning REACT team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, based in Ipswich (IP1). REACT provides rapid, short‑term crisis support to help people stay safely in their own homes and avoid emergency hospital admission. You’ll work alongside nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, doctors, social workers and voluntary partners, supporting delegated clinical tasks, personal care, reablement and end‑of‑life care. The service operates 24 hours, so shifts include early, late, nights, weekends and bank holidays. You must hold a valid UK driving licence and be able to travel across Ipswich and East Suffolk using your own vehicle or a pool car. Appointments will be offered at Band 2 or Band 3 depending on experience (Band 2: minimum 12 months care experience; Band 3: minimum 6 months NHS experience and the Care Certificate).

This role suits compassionate carers and returners who want meaningful, visible impact in people’s lives and the chance to develop professionally within a large, supportive NHS employer. ESNEFT offers structured training and progression, an Accelerated Care Certificate route, a generous pension, unsocial‑hours payments, 27 days’ annual leave pro‑rata and staff health and wellbeing support.
