Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for competent individuals to join a large team of Clinical Support workers in the busy environment of AMU. The unit is responsible for the safe admission and assessment of patients, and ensuring excellent care is provided at all times.Applications are welcomed from individuals who are hard working, have good communication skills, excellent team work and can demonstrate previous hospital care

Provide high quality basic nursing care as directed by care plans, registered nurse/nursing associates senior staff including:Assistance with personal hygieneAssistant with toiletingAssistance with dressing/undressingEnsure all patients nutritional status is maintainedPerform a range of clinical tasks or procedures which may include;ECG acquisitionPeripheral IV accessVenepunctureBasic & advanced castingPressure area risk assessmentUrinalysisPregnancy testingCapillary blood glucose monitoringFormed stoma careTransfer patients to other areas as and when requiredEnsure all aspects of care provided are accurately documentedPerform minor injury treatments including wound assessment and closure (not suturing)Demonstrates own duties to new startersParticipate and promote the audit process with the department
