HMP Wymott has capacity of around 1,100, and has a varied and complex population.This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team, and work on our specialist, therapeutic community wing. No 2 days are the same in this challenging, yet rewarding and supportive environment. The Therapeutic Community here at HMP Wymott has capacity for up to 70 men, and is focussed on those suffering from substance misuse issues, and are on a 12 month placement with us. The wing is similar to a community rehab programme, and you will play a key part in the recovery journey.Hours:This is a part time role, working 22.5 hours per week. Shifts are 08:30 - 16:30 - Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Main duties of the job
As our new Support Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:Work on the Therapeutic Community wing, helping patients with substance misuse issues during their placement with usBe the face of the unit - acting as the first point of contact for patientsBe visible on the unit, getting to know patients and identifying areas for improvement, issues etcAssist with support groups and assessmentsIf you are interested incareer development,we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and
