As a Pharmacy Counter Assistant with KFM at the Denmark Hill Outpatient Pharmacy (Greater London, SE59RS), you will support the smooth running of retail medicines and outpatient dispensing. Day-to-day you will help order, store and manage stock, issue completed prescriptions under the Responsible Pharmacist’s supervision, operate the retail till and provide medicines and general health advice within your competence. You’ll work closely with pharmacists and the wider team to spot potential issues such as drug interactions or changes that might affect adherence, maintain SOPs and ensure safe, accurate service for patients.
This permanent, full-time role is 37.5 hours per week on a rota, with a salary of £29,050–£30,100 plus up to a 12% annual bonus. The post suits someone with GCSEs (English, Maths, Science A–C or equivalent), NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent experience) and prior hospital or community pharmacy experience; enhanced DBS, good IT and till skills are required. KFM is owned by King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and reinvests profits back into the NHS, with development, training and governance built into the role.
