Work as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant at Wells Road Centre in Mapperley (NG3), supporting people with learning disabilities and mental health needs to improve their communication. This part‑time, permanent Band 4 role (salary £27,485–£30,162 pro rata) involves delivering one‑to‑one and group work under the direction of Speech & Language Therapists, creating accessible resources (easy‑read, Social Stories, symbol work), modelling good communication across wards, keeping accurate records and contributing to reports. You’ll need NVQ3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care, good literacy and IT skills, experience with people who have additional communication needs, the ability to manage time and work flexibly, and to undertake mandatory training including safe handling and incident response. Please note a DBS check is required (costs are deducted from salary) and this post is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
