Part‑time Mental Health Support Worker (20 hours/week) based at Care In Mind’s Ashurst residential service in Heaton, Bolton (BL15HE). You’ll support five young people with a range of mental health needs — including complex trauma, emotionally unstable personality disorder and self‑harm — to build independence through education, life skills, medication administration, and community access. The role combines hands‑on care (household routines, activity planning and encouraging hobbies such as camping, horse riding and trips out) with accurate record‑keeping on an online care system. Shift flexibility is required (weekends, bank holidays and occasional nights), and while previous experience with young people’s mental health is valued, full paid training, induction, DBS and ongoing mentoring are provided so it’s an excellent entry or development role for carers who are patient, calm and resilient.

Care In Mind offers a family‑friendly package designed to suit women and carers balancing work and life: a minimum of 30 days’ holiday plus a birthday day off, enhanced maternity/paternity pay, paid time off for fertility treatment, a menopause‑friendly workplace, enhanced sick pay and pension benefits, life assurance and a healthcare cash plan. You’ll also get funded learning and development (including Level 3 in Health & Social Care and Care Certificate support), free eye tests, an employee assistance helpline, social events, long service awards and free onsite parking. This supportive environment and clear career pathway make the role ideal for women looking for meaningful, flexible work in the Bolton area.
