A Bank Senior Healthcare Support Worker vacancy with University Hospitals Bristol and Weston (UHBW) offers flexible, zero‑hours work across Bristol and Weston sites, with the chance to book shifts at both Trusts through a collaborative bank with North Bristol Trust. This Band 3 role pays £14.71–£24.86 per hour (inclusive of annual leave) and requires a minimum commitment of two shifts in a rolling four‑month period, plus a five‑day induction week. You will be expected to remain compliant with essential training, undertake a DBS check, and may sometimes travel between sites. Applicants who need Skilled Worker sponsorship will be considered. The Trust is CQC‑rated ‘Good’, large and diverse, and supports ongoing training and development to build clinical skills in an acute hospital setting.

This role suits experienced healthcare support workers or second‑year student nurses who have completed an acute placement, and requires NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and GCSEs at grade 4/C or above in English and Maths. As a Senior HCSW you’ll deliver hands‑on, compassionate care and carry out clinical duties (observations, sampling, monitoring, record keeping and supporting registered practitioners) while promoting patient independence and infection control. The post emphasises teamwork, development opportunities and genuine flexibility — ideal for carers and women seeking work that fits around family life.
