Lead psychological services for older adults across South and West Devon, taking clinical and operational responsibility for Psychological Professionals within the Older Peoples Mental Health (OPMH) community teams. This established Band 8b post (start January 2026) combines hands-on therapeutic work and a specialist caseload with leadership tasks: managing and supporting applied psychologists, developing and redesigning community therapy pathways, embedding trauma‑informed, evidence‑based practice, and contributing to training and placements for trainee psychologists and psychotherapists. You will work closely with a small team of Professional Leads and the OPMH leadership to shape integrated, person‑centred care that involves patients, families and carers at every stage, while contributing to audits, policy changes and service improvement projects across the locality.

This role suits a qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (D.Clin.Psychol. or equivalent) or an accredited psychotherapist/arts therapist with HCPC/UKCP registration and proven experience in older people’s mental health, specialist assessment/interventions, supervision and service leadership. The post is permanent, flexible and pro rata (30 hours over four days) with a salary range of £64,455–£74,896, based at Wonford House, Exeter (EX2 5AF). Devon Partnership NHS Trust is an inclusive employer that supports part‑time working and welcomes applicants with lived experience; DBS checks and UK professional registration are required and skilled worker sponsorship applications will be considered.
