Work as a Community Support Worker with Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust at Parkside Mental Health Resource Centre in Middlesbrough, supporting the Treatment and Intervention Team to deliver person‑centred care for people with complex mental health needs. This full‑time, permanent Band 3 role (09:00–17:00, Monday–Friday) involves working within a multi‑disciplinary team to implement intervention plans, complete assessments and accurate records, accompany and support patients in community settings, spot and report safeguarding concerns, promote recovery and wellbeing, and act as an advocate for patients and carers while maintaining privacy, dignity and cultural sensitivity. The post is hands‑on, rewarding and directly improves people’s daily lives through practical support, health education and collaborative care planning.

This opportunity is aimed at experienced carers and healthcare assistants (not open to trainees). You will need a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), Literacy and Numeracy Level 2, prior HCA experience (Band 2/3 or equivalent) and the Right to Work in the UK; successful candidates must complete the Trust’s HCA competencies within the six‑month probation. A DBS check is required and applicants should be able to travel independently across the locality (vehicle access necessary; reasonable adjustments considered under the Equality Act). Desirable skills include experience with mental health or learning disabilities and competencies such as venepuncture or ECGs, alongside strong communication, record‑keeping and time‑management.
