An Assistant Practitioner Nursing post is available at Cadog Ward, Glangwili General Hospital in Carmarthen, working on a 20‑bed general medical frailty ward (14 short‑stay frailty beds and a six‑bed frailty assessment unit). This Band 4, permanent role (Agenda for Change) offers £27,898–£30,615 pro rata and can be full‑ or part‑time. You will provide hands‑on clinical care for older people with frailty and dementia, carrying out observations, catheter care and removal, blood‑glucose monitoring, basic wound support, risk assessments and delegated tasks under the All Wales governance framework — all within a professional team focused on high standards of patient care. A Level 4 vocational qualification or Certificate in Higher Education Health Care Support Worker, recent clinical experience and good communication skills are essential; Welsh language ability is desirable and development support is available. Interviews are scheduled for 26 November 2025.
