As a Health Care Support Worker – Ophthalmology (Band 3) with Wye Valley NHS Trust, you will support the multidisciplinary team across ophthalmology outpatients, eye casualty, day-case and theatre settings, developing specialist skills in eye care while helping to maintain smooth patient flow. This permanent, full‑time post is based at the Victoria Eye Unit in Hereford (HR1) with regular rotation to community hospitals in Leominster, Bromyard and Ross-on-Wye, so access to a car is essential. The role includes taking ophthalmic and general observations, assisting with patient care throughout their visit and building competencies within a supportive clinical team. The position is Agenda for Change Band 3, salary £24,937–£26,598 pa pro rata, and subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
