Work as a Bank Catering Services Operative at York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (LLP), supporting acute patients at York Hospital. This part‑time, flexible bank role covers shifts from 07:00–20:00 across Monday to Sunday, including weekends and Bank Holidays, with enhanced weekend rates. You’ll deliver and serve patient meals, regenerate food in ward ovens, monitor temperatures as part of HACCP, keep ward kitchens clean, and carry out washing‑up, cold‑room picking and pot wash duties as required. No prior experience is essential — full training is provided — but you should be kind, reliable, practical and comfortable working as part of a team and on your own when needed. An enhanced DBS check is required and the post sits at Agenda for Change Band 2 (salary £24,465 pro rata).
