Bring your compassion and practical skills to Ward 27 as a Health Care Assistant (D.M.E) at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Arrowe Park Hospital, CH49 5PE. You’ll work alongside registered nurses and the multidisciplinary team to deliver patients’ care plans, providing personal care (bathing, toileting, feeding and end‑of‑life support), performing basic observations with automated devices (temperature, BP, pulse, oxygen saturations, respiratory rate), taking measurements such as height and weight, and carrying out some clerical and domestic duties to maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The post also involves demonstrating duties to new starters, reporting any changes in patients’ condition and working in line with Trust policies.

This permanent, full‑time Band 2 role pays £24,465 per year and is ideal for carers who are polite, approachable, team‑minded and confident knowing when to seek support.
