We are a friendly NHS General Practice in Bushey looking fora robust, enthusiastic Care Coordinator to work with us 20 hoursper week across Monday-Friday.Previous
Experience
in a Medical Environment is preferred although full training will be providedwith on-going opportunities for growth and development.Applicants MUST be educated to NVQ3 level or equivalent as a minimum.We are looking for acandidate with impeccable English, who is friendly, articulate with excellenttelephone manners and first class customer service skills.You will need to be well-presented,enthusiastic, a team player and highly motivated. We need someone who isflexible and proactive. Apart from working in a team, this person must becomfortable working unsupervised on some occasions. The ability to communicateeffectively on all levels is imperative for this role. Candidates must also beable to multi-task.Excellent IT skills areessential.This is a demanding rolewhere you will be working as part of a busy team. As you will be the firstpoint of contact for patients and visitors to the surgery, you will need tobe able to cope with the demands of a busy face to face public environment.
Main duties of the job
Greeting patients: Welcoming patients as they arrive at the practice.Answering phone calls: Handling inquiries, booking appointments, and managing patient concerns.Scheduling appointments: Co-ordinating and managing patient bookings for doctors and other healthcare professionals.Secretarial duties: Typing and managing correspondence, handling referrals, preparing reports, and co-ordinating communication between healthcare providers and patients.Maintaining patient records: Updating personal information and medical records in the system.Processing paperwork: Ensuring patients fill out necessary forms and consent documents.Managing the waiting area: Ensuring the waiting area is organised and that patients are attended to in a timely manner.Providing administrative support: Assisting with general office tasks like filing, organizing records, and ensuring the smooth running of the reception area.Ensuring confidentiality: Safeguarding patient privacy and adhering to data protection regulations.
