An exciting post at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (L14 3PE) to shape and deliver community cardiology across Knowsley, working with Dr Clare Hammond to run consultant-led diagnostic and assessment clinics in Kirkby, Huyton and Whiston. You will lead community-based clinics supported by ECG technicians and specialist physiologists, with access to LHCH non‑invasive and invasive diagnostics and full administrative and secretarial support; there is also scope to develop cardiac rehabilitation and heart‑failure pathways and an optional weekly subspecialty session. Sessional commitments are clear and family-friendly: 4 direct clinical community sessions (3 fixed, 1 flexible), 2 admin, 1.5 SPA, 1 triage and 1 fixed subspecialty if appropriate.

This permanent consultant role (hospital medical and dental pay scale, £109,725–£145,478 pa) welcomes full‑time, part‑time and job‑share applicants and is ideal for clinicians with MRCP/CCT (or within six months) who value service development, teaching and research—protected time for audit/research (½ day/month), CPD, appraisal, revalidation and mentoring are all supported.
