Job summary
The Day Surgery Unit is looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and becoming part of a highly motivated, supportive team.We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working, and flexible individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses excellent communication skills to join our team as a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker.In this role, you will be responsible for delivering direct care to patients attending the Day Surgery Unit in a safe, welcoming, and compassionate environment, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You must be able to prioritise workloads, work independently, and collaborate as part of our well-established team, all while upholding high standards of patient care.If you are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and eager to be part of a team committed to excellence, we'd love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
The role of a Healthcare Support Worker within the Day Surgery Unit includes;admitting patients to the unitescorting patients to theatreand looking after the patients post operatively until they are discharged home on the same day.You will work with a range of staff, assisting with pre operative assessment, taking patient observations, performing ECGs and phlebotomy.
