INTERNAL ONLY TO NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC) EMPLOYEES ONLYThis is an exciting opportunity to support the podiatry team to deliver services within community and acute sites. The successful candidate will work alongside an established teams throughout North Cumbria.The North Cumbria Podiatry Department have received an outstanding achievement through the We Care Audit and we have been award'Best team supporting learning'and'Best learning opportunities' with the trust.The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and organisational skills, alongside a good sense of humour and team focused.The Department has a good skill mix including advanced and specialist Podiatrists, Podiatry assistants and administrative staff. Currently we maintain high risk, biomechanics and nail surgery caseloads. As a specialist podiatrist you will triage and treat a variety of podiatric problems and provide foot health education to patients and other stakeholders.
Main duties of the job
The role is provide support to the clinicians to ensure that referrals to the service are triaged, screened, assessed and diagnosed to receive appropriate treatment in a timely manner.Communication using all forms of media is a vital part of this role as you will be engaging with colleagues, both clinical and non-clinical, from NCIC and other primary care environments to support the integration of clinical services to improve the health and well-being of the population.
