As a Children's Staff Nurse at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (Starlight Ward, Homerton Row, London E9 6SR) you will deliver hands‑on, holistic nursing for babies, children and young people aged 0–16 (with emerging pathways for 16–17 year olds) on an 18‑bed paediatric unit. This Band 5, full‑time role (37.5 hours/week) is fixed term for 12 months and pays £37,259–£45,356 (Agenda for Change). You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients with a wide range of needs — from acute illness, day‑case and emergency surgery to mental health and learning disability pathways — working closely with families and the multidisciplinary team. The post requires NMC registration as a Child Nurse; applicants from all four nursing fields are considered, but the vacancy is not suitable for overseas nurses who must take the OSCE. Interviews are face to face and informal visits are welcome.
