These provide hospital care for elderly patients and people who need rehabilitation after surgery or an illness.The unit has a day case bed for when people do not need an overnight stay.Same day emergency care (SDEC) is one of the many ways the NHS is working to provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time for patients.It aims to benefit both patients and the healthcare system by reducing waiting times and hospital admissions, where appropriate.Full time, permanent

undertaking a range of night duties 19:30- 08:00 hrs and long days 07:30 - 20:00 hrs on a rotational basis in order to support 24 hour nursing care, 7 days per week.
Main duties of the job
To assist in the delivery of clinical care, planned and assessed by the Registered Nurseso To carry out care / other duties under indirect supervision of a Registered Nurseand/or Senior Health Care Assistanto Support care on a day-to-day basis for all patients in the clinical area in a mannersensitive to the individual clients needs and wishes, acknowledging their rights andbeliefs at all timeso Contribute to resource management within the clinical areaThis job is currently only open to people who already work for the NHS in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly.We are committed to supporting our dedicated staff, so only current employees of the following organisations can apply:Cornwall Foundation TrustRoyal Cornwall Hospitals NHS TrustCornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care BoardIf you do not currently work for one of these NHS organisations, your application will not be considered at this time.
