Weare seeking a part-time Prescription Clerk to join our friendly team, to answer the telephone, to greet patientsface to face and assist patients in accessing the appropriate service orrelevant healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.You will be responsible for processing prescription requests and answering enquiries from staff and patients.Providingadministrative assistance to thepractice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and othervisitors, either in person or via the telephone. You will play a key role inthe continued development of MMP, working closely with the practice team inimplementing systems aligned to the practices values and purpose, especiallyduring this exciting time of expansion due to the continued growth ofCambourne.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of a dynamic forward thinking Practice thepost-holder will be part of the Patient Services Team and primarily responsiblefor the issuing of repeat medications for patients in a safe and timely manner.The Prescription Clerk will also liaise and deal with patientsregarding queries and repeat prescription requests whether this isface-to-face, on the telephone or by email/electronically.They will be working alongside the Clinical Pharmacist team andliaising with Doctors, Nurses and other staff or organisations includingpharmacies on a regular basis.The post-holder will also be managing the expectations of patientsand/or their carers/guardians in a professional and polite manner to provide ahigh standard of patient focused service.
