Support patients and their families as a Healthcare Support Worker at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust in Wakefield (WF1). You will work alongside Registered Nurses in multidisciplinary teams to help plan, deliver and evaluate hands-on care, communicate clearly with patients and relatives, and maintain safe, high-quality practice. This Band 2 permanent role (salary £24,465) suits candidates with compassion, good time-management and teamwork skills — no previous healthcare experience is required. You must be able to work a standard shift pattern that includes long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays; minimum hours from 23 per week are available and full-time contracts are also offered. Please note a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required and shortlisted applicants will be invited to a face-to-face assessment centre (virtual interviews are not available). The role is not eligible for Home Office Skilled Worker sponsorship.
