1:6 non‑resident neonatal on‑call (no acute paediatric on‑calls) — better for evening family life.

Consultant Paediatrician with Neonatal Interest — Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, West Middlesex University Hospital, Isleworth TW7 6AF. Three substantive, permanent consultant posts (10 PA) are available to support the unit’s redesignation from a Level 1 SCBU to a Level 2 Local Neonatal Unit. The role delivers senior clinical leadership across an expanding neonatal service that supports around 5,000 births a year, with dedicated attending weeks, transitional care weeks and a 1:6 non‑resident on‑call rota focused on neonatal work only. Salary banding is £109,725–£145,478 per annum and the closing date for applications is 23 October 2025.
This post suits consultants with CCT (or within six months) in Paediatrics plus SPIN or equivalent neonatal training and at least 12 months Tier 2 NICU experience in the UK in the last 36 months; neonatal CCT is desirable but not essential. You’ll shape service development, education and audit, working within a skilled multidisciplinary team, close community follow‑up and academic links to Chelsea and Westminster NICU.
