As a Senior Clinical Support Worker at Sheffield Children’s Emergency Department and Acute Assessment Unit (based in S10, Sheffield), you’ll play a hands-on role supporting clinical care for children, young people and their families at often stressful times. This full‑time, fixed‑term post (to 31 March 2026) is Band 3 with a salary of £24,937–£26,598 pro rata and includes day and night shifts, weekends and rotation across ED and AAU. Working alongside registered nurses, you will carry out delegated clinical tasks within defined competencies, support assessment, care planning and monitoring, assist with administrative and IT duties, manage stock and maintain clean, safe equipment and environments. A DBS check is required; candidates should have Level 2 qualifications (GCSE English and Maths or equivalent plus Vocational Award Level 2 in Health) and be willing to work towards Level 3 and other competency packages. Sheffield Children’s uplift pay to meet the Real Living Wage and provides a full induction and ongoing support to help you develop in post.
