Main duties of the job
As a vital member of our ward team, you will deliver direct, compassionate care to our patients. Your core duties will include supporting patients with their personal care needs, such as washing, dressing, and toileting. You will actively assist patients with their mobility, using appropriate techniques to help them move safely and comfortably.A key part of your role will involve performing and recording essential clinical observations, like taking temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse rates, and promptly reporting any changes to the nursing team. You will also help to ensure patient comfort and nutrition by serving meals, assisting with feeding where necessary, and making beds.Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in communicating with patients, offering reassurance and a listening ear. You will also assist the wider team with preparing equipment and maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.
