Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a Consultant Radiologist (Breast Imaging) to work from Morriston Hospital (Swansea SA6 6NL) with some sessions at Singleton and the possibility of clinics in Neath Port Talbot and Breast Test Wales. You will join a small, experienced breast team and be responsible for mammography reporting, breast and axillary ultrasound, image‑guided biopsy and symptomatic breast assessment clinics, with essential participation in the Breast MDT. Candidates with skills in vacuum‑assisted biopsy/excision, pre‑operative localisation, breast MRI reporting or contrast‑enhanced mammography are especially welcome. This is a permanent, full‑time consultant post with a salary band of £110,240–£160,951 and a clear focus on service development, clinical leadership and high‑quality patient care.

This role is for an experienced radiologist registered with the GMC, holding FRCR and either on the Specialist Register or eligible for CCT within six months; a licence to practise is required. Applicants should bring strong interpersonal and leadership skills, a commitment to improvement and education, and the empathy to support patients and colleagues. On‑call duties are not expected (optional at 1 in 17) — an attractive feature for those balancing caring responsibilities — and the Board supports professional development, inclusive working and sponsorship applications where needed. A DBS check and UK registration requirements apply. For full details and to apply, click the "Apply Now" button next to this advert; you can also find and save this vacancy on jobsincare.com.
