As a Healthcare Assistant / Receptionist - Sexual Health with Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust (based in Worcester, WR5), you will support patients living with HIV across Hereford General Hospital and Worcestershire Royal Hospital. This permanent, part‑time Band 3 role (15 hours per week) sees you working across two clinic days — including Thursdays at Worcestershire Royal — supporting the HIV CNS and consultants in nurse‑led and consultant clinics. Duties combine clinical care and reception work: taking and recording observations (including NEWS2 and blood glucose), venepuncture/phlebotomy, asymptomatic sexual health screening, assisting with mobility and safe patient transfers, chaperoning, booking appointments, answering calls and preparing clinic notes. The role requires countywide travel between sites and the ability to respond to clinical needs and emergencies when necessary.

This post will suit caring, organised people—many applicants will be women or current carers—who want hands‑on clinical experience alongside administrative responsibilities. Essential requirements include NVQ Level 3 in Direct Care (or equivalent), venepuncture competencies and experience in a caring/outpatient setting; flexibility, good communication and manual‑handling ability are important. The Trust is Timewise‑accredited and offers supportive, patient‑centred working within a multi‑professional team; pay is Band 3 (£24,937–£26,598 pro rata) and the role is subject to a DBS check.
