Play a central, hands-on role as a part-time Receptionist/Administrator at City Square Medical Group, an inner‑city GP practice serving around 12,000 local patients across two E1 sites. You’ll be the first point of contact—managing online requests, phone calls and messages, maintaining the appointment system (AccuRx triage), and keeping patient records up to date on EMIS Web. Routine duties include booking and signposting patients to the right clinician, processing electronic prescription requests (EPS), scanning and clinically coding documents within set timeframes, data entry of registrations, and supporting clinical staff with everyday administrative tasks. The post requires flexibility for extended Monday hours on a rota (15:00–20:00) and, otherwise, hours of Monday 07:45–12:45 and Tuesday–Friday 13:30–18:30; the role is permanent and part‑time.

This role is ideal for carers and women seeking part‑time work that makes a real difference locally: you’ll join a supportive, patient‑focused team that values calm, compassionate communication and strong IT skills. The practice offers protected learning time, opportunities to assist with CQC readiness and team development, and a chance to build on experience with EMIS, Office/Outlook and reception systems. Applicants should be organised, empathetic and able to cope under pressure; a DBS check will be required.
