Job summary
Ward4 is a 30 bedded unit which is recruiting staff to be part of their team. Thisis an exciting opportunity for a HealthCare Assistants who is highly motivated and enthusiastic, with a keen interestin caring for patients with stroke.Applicants should displayeffective communication skills and deliver high quality patient focused care.The unit is friendly and supportive and has acommitment to providing high quality nursing care.Thepost holder will support the Nursing team in providing care to patients actingunder the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Main duties of the job
To assist in admitting patients to the ward,completing demographic

and recording base-line observations.To provide care to patientsfollowing instructions in the care plan, programme or pathway.To demonstrate competencein the accurate recording of routine clinical observations.To recognise abnormalrecordings or signs of change in a patients condition and report changes to aregistered nurse.To assess patients levelof dependence in meeting personal care needs and give appropriate assistance(includes hygiene, mobility, nutrition, elimination and comfort).To assist patients to eatand drink in a sensitive and supportive manner.To accurately recordinformation on patient food charts and fluid balance charts, reporting concernsto a registered nurse.To carry out clinicalskills relevant to the ward/department and patient group (eg phlebotomy, ECGrecording, simple dressings).To assist clinical teamwith data entry, filing and maintaining accurate documentation of care.Toassist in escorting, transferring and discharging patients, ensuring allproperty is packed and the bed area is prepared for the next patient
