As a Bank Theatre Nurse with Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust you’ll deliver evidence‑based, patient‑centred perioperative care across two south‑east London sites (SE13 6LH and SE18 4QH). This flexible bank role pays £21.06 an hour (inclusive rate) and suits experienced theatre nurses or ODPs with current NMC registration and relevant ODP/NVQ3 qualifications. You’ll support patients through their operative journey — from pre‑op assessment to recovery — assist anaesthetists and surgeons, manage medicines and equipment, maintain accurate records and act as a clinical role model within a multi‑disciplinary team. The position requires DBS clearance and a commitment to NMC standards, clinical governance and continuing professional development.
The Trust has a positive culture of staff development and community focus, with recent CQC improvements and active staff networks including a Women’s network. The bank contract gives real control over when you work, making it a strong fit for carers and those juggling family commitments. Expect practical skills development (cannulation, IV additives), supportive team teaching, and the chance to build experience across two local hospitals.
