Based at Yardley Court, Edgbaston (B15 1JD), this Band 7 TB Clinical Specialist Nurse role puts you at the heart of tuberculosis control in the prison estate. You will lead the identification, management and containment of TB, responding to prison alerts at short notice and working closely with prison healthcare teams and UKHSA. The post combines specialist clinical practice (advanced assessment, infection control, venepuncture and medicines management) with caseload management, audit, service development and supervision of junior staff and students. The role requires confident autonomous working with underserved communities and offers part-time, flexible patterns where required.
This permanent Band 7 post (salary £47,810–£54,710) is ideal for an NMC-registered nurse with post-registration TB qualifications, significant Band 6+ experience and a mentorship/teaching background. University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust promotes an inclusive culture, strong CPD and reasonable adjustments for staff, and will consider skilled worker sponsorship where needed. A DBS check is required. If you’re a compassionate, organised clinician who wants clinical leadership, teaching opportunities and the chance to shape TB care for vulnerable people, click the "Apply Now" button alongside this advert to apply.
