Job summary
Thepost holder will be employed by Greenwich Health the GP Federation inGreenwich. Greenwich has 7 primary care networks (PCNS) with list sizes ofbetween 30-80,000 patients. The Post holder will work for Riverview Health PCN,a grouping of 5 practices.A GPA will support the GP(s) by support clinicians with a variety of admin tasks reducing the clinicians administrative burden.Your normal hours of work will be between 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. Monday to Saturday.

Main duties of the job
Main duties will include:Arrange for laboratory tests i.e. bloods, specialist referrals, and/or diagnostic procedures as requested by cliniciansSignpost patients to relevant services according to their health needsSupport vulnerable patients communicating with healthcare providersLiaise with ancillary departments and other care providers when needed for appointments, procedures, treatment plans, clinical letters/ drug information/ resultsChase letters and resultsBe the point of contact to between the Practice and other healthcare providers and raise queries as requested by the clinicianProvide general administrative support to the clinical teamCoordinate schedules and treatment with other allied professionals including treatment scheduling, record coordination with consultants and treatment plansSocial outreach assist with enquiries around homeless initiatives, food banks, domestic violence programmes, AGE UK for vulnerable patientsBe involved in QOF and other quality initiativesTraining registrars ( trainee doctors) on eRS systemForward on referrals letters created by clinicians to the relevant departmentsChase hospital prescription queriesProduce encounter reports as required
