As Assistant Practitioner (Pelvic Health) with The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust based at West Park Hospital, Wolverhampton (WV1), you will support a small, specialist Perinatal Pelvic Health Service delivering high‑quality pelvic floor education and preventative care for women during pregnancy and after birth. This hands‑on role involves leading postnatal pelvic‑floor and Pilates classes, running antenatal and postnatal education sessions both face‑to‑face and online, and carrying out phone-based patient contacts to gather information and offer basic advice under the supervision of pelvic‑health physiotherapists. You will work closely with a Physiotherapy Lead, Specialist Midwife and a regional team across four partner Trusts, contribute to service strategy and innovation, and play an active part in embedding a new single‑point‑of‑access self‑referral digital pathway due to launch by March 2026.

This post is well suited to someone with a Foundation Degree (Health and Social Care) or equivalent Level 5 qualification, experience delivering group exercise or education, and a genuine interest in women’s pelvic health — Pilates or perinatal experience is desirable. It’s a part‑time, fixed‑term (6 months) Band 4 post (salary £27,485–£30,162 pro rata) offering a supportive, flexible working environment within a Trust rated Good by the CQC. The role includes a DBS check and the Trust will consider skilled‑worker sponsorship where needed.
