Lead specialist care for breast, testicular and renal cancers from the James Cook Cancer Institute in Middlesbrough. This permanent Consultant Medical Oncologist post (10 PAs; full‑time, with less‑than‑full‑time patterns welcomed) places you in a friendly, research‑active department of 20+ consultants. Day‑to‑day duties include running new and review clinics, systemic anti‑cancer therapy (SACT) prescribing and administration, attendance at weekly MDTs, contribution to the on‑call rota, supervision of junior medical staff, and involvement in audit, quality improvement and clinical trials. There is scope to discuss additional paid responsibilities and to work alongside established teams as the service expands.
This opportunity suits an oncologist with MRCP/CCT (or equivalent) and GMC registration, with site specialist training or experience in breast, testis and renal malignancies.
