Job summary
The job involves working as an Occupational Therapist Assistant at a specialist service for men and women living with complex needs. The role includes supporting the Occupational Therapist in delivering structured activities, assisting in the planning of individual and group therapeutic interventions, and building one-to-one relationships with service users to encourage participation and empower recovery.

Main duties of the job
As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will contribute to the assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and modification of structured activities in order to measure progression and ensure effectiveness. You will work as part of a team that includes a Regional Occupational Therapist, an on-site Occupational Therapist, and two other Occupational Therapy Assistants. Your responsibilities will include assisting Occupational Therapists, Nurses and other MDT staff in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans, supporting service users to achieve their goals and access appropriate services, and maintaining adequate records.
