Make a visible difference to patient care by keeping clinical areas clean, safe and welcoming across Kent and Medway. As a Mobile Cleaner you’ll deliver high standards of hygiene in line with the latest NHS Cleaning Guidelines, working across sites from the Greenacres site in Dartford (DA2). The role is patient-focused and hands-on: you’ll complete daily shift plans, undertake general and ward cleaning, manage waste safely, follow COSHH guidance and hand over clearly to ward staff. Previous cleaning experience, good communication and the ability to work without close supervision are essential; the post is subject to a DBS check and requires a full UK driving licence plus access to a vehicle for business use (unless disabled as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
This permanent Band 2 post is 37.5 hours per week (full-time) with shifts on a four-week rotation between 7am and 7pm, so you’ll work no more than 7.5 hours a day. The salary is £24,465 per annum pro rata (inclusive of the High-Cost Area allowance for Dartford), paid monthly under Agenda for Change terms. You’ll join the Estates & Facilities team at Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust — a CQC-rated 'Good' organisation committed to caring, inclusive values — and benefit from on-the-job training and a supportive environment.
