Job summary
Rock Court Surgery has an opportunity for a full time memberof staff within our Reception/Care Navigation team.
Experience
of General Practiceis desirable but not essential as training will be given. We are looking for 30-32 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within the hours of 12:30 - 18:30 and Thursday being 12:30-8pm.
Main duties of the job
Maintaining and monitoring the Practice appointment system.Care navigation at front desk, telephone and online requestsfor appointments.Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealingwith the callers request appropriatelySignpost patients to the correct serviceInitiating contact with and responding to, requests frompatients, team members and external agenciesPhotocopy documentation as requiredInput data into the patients healthcare records asnecessaryDirect requests for information i.e. SAR, insurance /solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the administrative teamManage all queries as necessary in an efficient mannerMaintain a clean, tidy, effective working area alwaysMonitor and maintain the reception area and notice boardsSupport all clincal staff with general tasks as requested

Rock Court Surgery has 2 senior partners, 5 salaried GPs, 1ANP, 1Practice nurse, 1 Nurse associate, 1 HCA and 7 Care navigators/admin teammembers. Our Practice list size is approximately 5600.The practice is part of the iGPc Primary Care Network whichincludes 7 other Practices. As part of the PCN, we have access to Pharmacists(prescribing and non-prescribing), pharmacy technicians, care co-ordinators,social prescribers, paramedics and First Contact Physiotherapists.We believe ourselves to be a very welcoming and enjoyableplace to work and we look forward to welcoming a new member of the team.

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception/carenavigation duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinaryteam. Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting and directingpatients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments,processing of information and assisting patients as required. To act as thecentral point of contact for patients, the distribution of information,messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinaryteam members and external agencies such as secondary care and community serviceproviders.
