Provide hands-on, patient-centred primary care in the community as a Community Health Care Assistant with Greater Peterborough Network. You will visit patients in their homes to collect blood samples by venepuncture, carry out urinalysis, measure blood pressure and oxygen saturation, and record height, weight and BMI. Annual diabetic reviews, accurate recording of notes and safe transport of samples are all part of the role. This position suits experienced Health Care Assistants, carers or phlebotomists; phlebotomy training can be provided for those with a positive, willing-to-learn attitude. You’ll need good IT skills, clear communication and a caring, empathetic approach, and the post is subject to a DBS check.
