Are you an
Experience
d Healthcare Assistant? We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our bank team, who will assist the GPs, practice nurse and ANP team in the safe, caring and effective delivery of the care management of the practice population. You will advocate and promote health education to all patients you come into contact with to keep them at optimum health.
Salary
: £13.39 per hour Location: PC24 practices Liverpool Shifts available: Monday Friday between 08:00-18:30What will you be doingPatient health checks; measuring blood pressure, temperature, pulse, height, weight and urinalysis. Be confident in venipuncture process.Collect specimens as directed by clinicians. Administer vaccinations confidently (under PSD)Support long term conditions monitoring; foot checks, peak flow inhaler techniques, blood sugar (BM) readings. Assist clinicians with application of non-adherent dressings.Act of a chaperone when required.Liaise with other services and organisations regarding services provided and current practices to develop best evidence-based practices. Complete accurate records consistent with legislation and policy. Identify, assess, manage and escalate any risks or incidents and support in sharing best practice. Enable patients to access appropriate professional care in the practice team.Monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.

Experience
of working in a General Practice environment Excellent communication skills and able to adapt to individuals needs and liaise with multidisciplinary team members, health care professionals and staff.Great customer service skills.Training certificates for BSL, Infection control, Information Governance, Safeguarding Adults and Children level 3.Flexibility to work across all PC24 sites.
