Make a real difference as a Band 6 Dietitian specialising in gastroenterology with York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals, based primarily at York Hospital (YO31 8HE). You will deliver specialist in‑patient and out‑patient care across a wide gastroenterology caseload — inflammatory bowel disease, IBS and low FODMAP work, coeliac disease, liver disease, pancreatic insufficiency, gastroparesis, intestinal failure and home enteral feeding — and provide oral, enteral and parenteral nutrition support. The post covers both York and Scarborough sites, so HCPC registration and the ability to travel during the working day are required. Experienced gastro dietitians are welcome, and Band 5/6 clinicians keen to develop specialist skills will also be considered.
This permanent role (full‑ or part‑time) sits within a supportive, values‑led Trust that emphasises supervision, teaching and professional development. You’ll have chances to lead audits, join quality improvement and research, supervise students, and grow into clinical leadership. Staff benefits include the NHS Pension, 27–33 days’ holiday (depending on service), employee support services, NHS car lease and Cycle to Work schemes, plus a generous relocation package for hard‑to‑fill roles. Flexible working is considered from the start, making this an excellent option for carers and those seeking balance.
