Work as a Radiology Department Assistant across Darent Valley Hospital, Queen Mary’s Sidcup Hospital and the Community Diagnostic Centre in Dartford, supporting Consultant Radiologists, radiographers and the wider imaging team. This patient-facing role suits someone calm, adaptable and compassionate — ideal for women and carers seeking meaningful NHS work with flexible hours. Duties include preparing and supporting patients for a wide range of imaging modalities (DR, CT, MRI, ultrasound, breast imaging, nuclear medicine and more), assisting with general radiography and fluoroscopy, following radiation protection procedures, delivering excellent customer care and carrying out tasks such as IV cannulation where trained. The post is permanent, Band 3 (salary £26,240–£27,928 pa pro rata), available full- or part-time with weekend and evening shifts as part of a rota to support an expanding seven-day service.
