Health Care Assistant - Overnight ServiceKeynsham Health CentreA great opportunity has arisen to join our Overnight Service as a Healthcare Assistant based at Keynsham Health Centre or the St Martins hospital site. You will join a welcoming nursing team who predominantly visit patients in their own homes or care homes. You will carry out routine care and health tasks which will be set out inagreed care plans, or work plans or as directed by registered colleagues.This is a part time opportunity working 27 hours with service hours typically being 22:00-08:00 across 3 shifts. We are a friendly team, and this role is perfect for balancing work and family life. As the role starts at 22.00 there is flexibility for school runs and other commitments.
Main duties of the job
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide compassionate, patient-centred care in line with individual care plans.Support daily care and treatment under the guidance of a registered practitionerEncourage patient and carer involvement in decision makingPromote patient independence and dignity at all times.Work collaboratively within a multi-professional team.Ensure clear, respectful communication, including support for language or hearing barriers.Maintain accurate documentation of patient needs and preferences.Practice effective infection control and contribute to a safe care environment.Support junior staff and seek guidance from registered staff when needed.Perform select administrative duties as required.Obtain appropriate consent and provide or request a chaperone when needed.Uphold policies, procedures, and professional standards at all times.For a full list of responsibilities please see the attached
