Empingham Medical Centre, a friendly rural dispensing practice in Empingham (Oakham, LE15 8PR), is recruiting a qualified Dispenser (NVQ Level 2 or above) for a permanent, full‑time role. Our dispensary supports around 70% of 9,600 registered patients and is staffed by an experienced team including eight trained dispensers and a prescription clerk, working alongside GPs, ANPs, nurses and reception staff. Salary is dependent on experience and the post will suit someone who enjoys practical, people-focused work in a supportive community setting.
You will provide accurate, efficient dispensing and help the Dispensary Manager with financial control and record‑keeping using SystmOne, while maintaining patient confidentiality, health & safety and equality standards. The role calls for strong attention to detail, good communication and numeracy, experience with the public or in a dispensary/pharmacy, computer literacy (SystmOne, Microsoft Office), and flexibility to cover additional hours when needed; the post is subject to a DBS check.
