Care Assistant based at East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices in Framingham Earl (NR14). This permanent role (full- and part-time considered) sits at Band 3 with a salary of £24,937–£26,597 and operates within a 24/7 hospice service using 12½-hour shifts (day 07:30–20:00 / night 19:30–08:00) plus variable homecare hours. You will deliver hands-on, person-centred care for babies, children and young people with life‑threatening conditions across hospice, community and hospital settings — tasks include medicines administration (as an authorised practitioner), use of mobility and clinical equipment, maintaining electronic records on SystmOne, and supporting family activities such as hydrotherapy and wellbeing events. The role suits experienced carers or those from early years, education or health backgrounds who want to develop specialist children’s palliative care skills; a full driving licence and ability to travel within the region are essential. Weekend and Bank Holiday working is required, with enhanced pay rates (+30% Saturdays & evenings, +60% Sundays & Bank Holidays). A DBS check is required for appointment.
