Provide essential administrative and practical support to the Mortuary Service at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust in a permanent, full‑time Band 3 role (salary £24,937–£26,598 pa). Based primarily at Royal Stoke University Hospital or Leighton Hospital, you will also work across the NMCPS mortuary network – including County Hospital, Stafford and Macclesfield – carrying out clerical duties, maintaining accurate records using Word, Excel and Outlook, and supporting clinicians and families with compassion and discretion. The post suits people with basic education (including Maths and English) and experience in patient care or customer‑facing roles; previous mortuary experience is helpful but not essential as full training is provided. The role requires travel across sites and is subject to satisfactory DBS clearance.

This vacancy will suit organised, empathetic carers—many of whom are women—who take pride in attention to detail and confidential, sensitive communication with distressed relatives. UHNM is a large, modern Trust committed to staff development, inclusion and supportive teams, offering on‑the‑job training and clear opportunities to grow. Please note UHNM currently cannot provide sponsorship for this role; applicants on a graduate visa may apply but must have at least six months remaining on their visa at the start of employment.
